Typically when I try to introduce an open source alternative to a friend, the argument is made that there are "things" the GIMP can't do as well as Photoshop. I haven't discovered such limitations, and with people like you specializing in teaching people how to make that transition, the objections are even harder to justify. I checked out your Gimped! Quite a few people have reported that it runs flawlessly with the new wrapper. Since you already have it in a wineskin wrapper, you could transfer it to the new cider wrapper on their forum, which is harder to set up but a performance & quality boost makes up for it.
